The City of London is seeking a Forestry Technician to support urban forestry activities, inspect trees, and maintain the city tree inventory. You will coordinate planting operations and review subdivision plans under supervision, applying ISA tools for risk assessment and ensuring compliance with city policies.
A two-year Forestry Technician diploma is required, with ISA certification, TRAQ, and a Class G license considered essential.

Job Type: Full-Time Temporary (up to 2 years)

Reports to and carries out work under the direction of the Supervisor, Forestry Operations or designate. Reviews tree planting operations to be performed in new plans of subdivision. Reviews files, gathers data, communicates and performs contract administration. Makes recommendations for acceptance of plant material and release of securities held. Performs inspections for tree work orders, on trimming, removal and tree planting warranties. Enters and updates current data onto City of London Tree Inventory.
Two years of previous related experience in forestry or aboriculture is required.

$56,447 - $79,138 (Level 11)
This posting is for two (2) permanent full-time position being filled on a temporary full-time basis for up to 2 years.

Current hours of Work: Monday - Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Work Arrangement: Onsite. Subject to change in accordance with business requirements.
These hours of work are subject to change in accordance with the Collective Agreement and may include evening hours and Saturdays.
NOTE: Applicants may be required to complete a job related test.
