An established industry player is seeking a skilled Registered Professional Forester to lead timber development and silviculture initiatives. This role involves ensuring safety and environmental compliance, quality control, and stakeholder engagement. You will prepare site plans and manage cutting/road permits while mentoring junior professionals in the field. Provide professional level supervision and endorsement for the timber development and silviculture.
Safety and environmental performance, compliance monitoring and implementation.
Quality control and implementation.
Review and approval of professional documentation related to timber development and silviculture.
Stakeholder and client engagement.
Provide advice regarding vegetation management, silviculture and related areas.
Prepare site plans and cutting/road permits, process field data, and organize deliverables.
Primary intermediary between GIS and clients.
Registered Professional Forester (British Columbia).
Degree in Forestry, Natural Resource Management.
5+ years’ experience in a similar position.
Associated forestry field experience is an asset.
Comprehensive understanding of British Columbia Forest Management and Land Use Planning, B.C. General Appraisal System, cutting and road permit acquisition process.
Ability to mentor junior RPFs and other junior Forest Professionals.
