Job summary

The ideal candidate holds a Mechanical Engineering degree, P.Eng is preferred, and 3–8 years of related experience in forensic or failure analysis is desired. Excellent communication and teamwork are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; P.Eng preferred.
• 3–8 years of mechanical experience in design, production, or construction.
• Experience with forensic, failure analysis, or troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field inspections and loss analysis, testing, and data collection.
• Prepare technical reports detailing cause of damage, observed damage, and test results.
• Perform desk reviews and field assessments of property loss to develop repair scope.
• Work with insured and contractors to agree on repairs.
• Review building codes and standards to identify system requirements.
• Present analysis and assessment findings to clients.
