Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our team at the Vancouver Regional Clinic. This temporary, full-time position offers the opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team providing trauma-informed care to individuals with mental health and substance use disorders involved with the justice system.

Responsibilities

1. Conduct biopsychosocial assessments, develop and implement treatment plans, and monitor client progress.
2. Coordinate community care and advocate for clients by liaising with various health and social service providers.
3. Maintain accurate documentation and prepare reports for legal and clinical purposes.
4. Provide nursing services, including medication management, counseling, and health education.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with BCCNM.
• Minimum of two years recent experience in community mental health or related field.
• Valid BC Driver’s License and ability to travel within the region.
• Knowledge of Indigenous cultural safety, systemic racism, and related legislative frameworks.
• Demonstrated commitment to anti-racism, equity, and trauma-informed care.
