Newcon Electric is seeking a licensed Foreman (309A Electrician – Construction and Maintenance) to lead diverse electrical projects in the commercial, industrial, and residential sectors. Candidates must hold valid training certificates, OSS Ontario membership, and demonstrate strong leadership while ensuring ESA compliance.

The role includes coordinating on-site activities, managing the crew, and maintaining safety standards across a full project scope.

Qualifications

• Must hold Foreman status with 309A Electrician certification.
• Active membership in Skilled Trades Ontario (formerly OCOT) is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a full understanding of projects and all documents involved.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and manage a productive site.
• Ensure all work meets ESA standards and communicates with the client representative.
• Manage workflow to meet or exceed client expectations; participate in On Call Rotation.
• Lead and manage site team; follow installation plans and performance baselines.
• Procurement planning, reading layouts, and installing conduits and electrical systems.
• Test electrical equipment and diagnose faults; ensure proper termination of conductors.
• Support company operations and adhere to safety and regulatory requirements.

Newcon Electric has an exciting opportunity for a 309A Electrician – Construction and Maintenance. We are a full-service electrical contractor company serving the commercial, industrial, and residential industry since 2009. Newcon Electric specializes in a wide variety of electrical systems. Our team is dedicated to delivering quality electrical installations while maintaining a safe environment for workers and customers.

We are currently hiring licensed Foreman. Applicants selected for employment must possess the following mandatory, valid training certificates:

• Elevated Work Platform
• Worker Health & Safety Awareness
• Working at Heights (from a Ministry of Labor approved Training Provider)
• WHMIS

Must be a member in good standing with Skilled Trades Ontario (formerly OCOT).

Foreman position is based on the following responsibilities:

• Maintain a full understanding of projects and all documents involved,
• Strong problem-solving skills,
• Maintain a productive work site,
• Ensure all work is installed to meet and exceed ESA standards,
• Ensure positive communication with client representative,
• Manage workflow to meet or exceed client expectations,
• Participate in On Call Rotation,
• Flexible work hours to meet client demands,
• Lead and manage site team,
• Follow installation plan, follow performance baseline with efficient result,
• Procurement planning, reading lays out,
• Assembles, installs, repairs, maintains, connects and/or tests electrical systems,
• Plans installations from blueprints, sketches and specifications, and installs all electrical and electronic devices systematically diagnoses faults in electrical and electronic components, as required measures, cuts, threads, bends, assembles and installs conduits and other electrical conductor raceways splices and terminates electrical conductors tests electrical and electronic equipment to ensure that they are functioning properly.
