FOOT PASSENGER TICKET AGENT

The Opportunity

We are seeking applicants who are passionate about providing excellent customer service while prioritizing safety and creating a positive environment.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Terminal Manager, Foot Passenger Ticket Agents are responsible for:

1. Calculating and collecting passenger fares, receiving cash or corporate media, and processing employee passes.
2. Responding to passenger inquiries, providing route and schedule information, directing passengers to appropriate berths and terminal facilities, and assisting elderly or disabled travelers.
3. Carrying out revenue procedures, preparing floats, cashing up, completing bank deposits, and inputting daily sales into the computer.
4. Ensuring ticket booths are stocked with boarding passes, charge card forms, and other revenue documents.

Vehicle Ticket Agent Duties

1. Acquiring a float and maintaining adequate stock of schedules and media items.
2. Operating a cash register, determining fares, accepting payments, and directing passengers to correct lanes.
3. Providing information on ferry schedules, routes, and tourist information, and communicating with Tower Controllers.
4. Preparing cash deposits between sailings and at the end of shifts.
5. Balancing cash and media sales, preparing floats, and inputting sales data into the computer.

What You Bring to the Team

You are positive, customer-focused, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You work well independently and in teams, possess excellent communication skills, and are comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

You have at least one (1) year of experience in customer service and one (1) year of experience in cash handling with complex POS systems.
