Job summary

West Coast Reduction Ltd. in Vancouver is seeking a Foodservice Sales Representative to build relationships with restaurants and foodservice operators.

You will focus on developing new business, conducting on-site assessments, onboarding customers, and supporting services such as used cooking oil recycling and trap grease services. The role includes on-site restaurant visits, setting up new accounts, maintaining records, and providing product information.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Two to five years of relevant sales or restaurant industry experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of MS Office Suite is required.

Responsibilities

• Secure potential customers by answering product and service questions and develop additional business by suggesting information about Redux services.
• Contact potential customers by performing sales calls or site visits to provide information about Redux services.
• Conduct site assessments of restaurants and foodservice operators and collect accurate service details to ensure service technicians can easily service customers.
• Responsible for new customer setup in database, from first contact to active account.
• Open new customer accounts by recording account information and maintain existing customer records by updating account information.
• Resolve product and service problems by clarifying the customer's complaint and determining the best solution and following up to ensure resolution.
• Recommend potential products or services to Redux Management by collecting customer information and needs.
• Research market changes, competition, price and services to stay informed.
• Ensure all customer records added are entered into the WCRL system.
• Support and assist training as required.
• Foster a positive team culture aligned with company values.
• Be accessible outside of regular business hours to assist with customer requests.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Manager.

About the Role

Operating out of our Vancouver division, the Foodservice Sales Representative is responsible for building relationships with restaurants, commercial kitchens, foodservice operators, and related businesses. This role focuses on developing new business, conducting on-site assessments, onboarding customers, and supporting the implementation of services such as used cooking oil recycling, trap grease services, food waste recovery, and bone and fat recycling.

Annual base salary range: $60K to $68K

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Secure potential customers by answering product and service questions and develop additional business by suggesting information about other products and services offered by Redux
• Contact potential customers by performing sales calls or site visits to provide information about Redux services
• Conduct site assessments of restaurants and foodservice operators and collect accurate service details to ensure Redux service technicians and drivers can easily and professionally service our customers
• Responsible for new customer setup in database, from first customer contact to active customer account
• Open new customer accounts by recording account information and maintain existing customer records by updating account information
• Resolve Redux product and service problems by clarifying the customer's complaint, determining the cause of the problem, selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem, expediting correction or adjustment, and following up to ensure resolution
• Recommend potential products or services to Redux Management by collecting customer information and analysing customer needs
• Research and investigate in order to keep up about changes in competition, price and services in the market place
• Ensuring all customer records added are properly entered into the WCRL internal system
• Support and assist any training that may be required from time to time
• Foster a positive team and company culture by ensuring treatment of others is respectful and aligned with company values
• Be accessible outside of regular business hours to assist with customer requests
• Perform other duties as assigned by Manager

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Two to five years of relevant experience, or equivalent education and experience combined (ie restaurant industry experience, field sales, customer relationship management)
• Candidates with experience working directly with restaurant owners, foodservice operators, chefs, or kitchen managers are strongly preferred Knowledge of MS Office Suite is required
• Knowledge of MS Office Suite is required
• Must have a valid Class 5 driver's license
• Must be able to travel within BC and other provinces
• Strong communication skills - verbal and written
• Ability to work hours required as per business needs and be available on an ad-hoc basis after regular business hours to respond to customers by phone or email
• Physically capable of lifting grease trap lids (75lbs) to perform assessments
