Job summary

IKEA is hiring a Food Team Leader for its Edmonton, Canada site. You will lead a hands-on team in a fast-paced dining environment, coaching co-workers to deliver exceptional customer experiences while maintaining food safety and profitability.

The role emphasizes coaching, adherence to processes, and active support of operations, including cash handling, dish room work, and table bussing as needed. A strong background in food service is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of related experience.
• Proven experience in a food service or hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that every customer has a consistent and excellent food experience by supporting, challenging and coaching the co-workers in enhancing the customer experience.
• Ensure that the appropriate processes are followed and actions are taken daily to secure food safety and compliance, operational standards and maximise profitability.
• Implement sales support tools, guides, and coordinate the work of the team to optimise commerciality and maximise sales opportunities.
• Act upon customer feedback, recognising good customer service and taking appropriate action to avoid repeated issues.
• Build the competence of the team through regular coaching, support and encouragement.
• Highly hands-on leadership role requiring supervisors to support operations as needed, including: Bussing tables, Cash handling, Working in the dish room, Supervising staff while actively assisting the team

The starting rate/ salary for this position ranges from 53,000 CAD to 62,000 CAD and will be based on relevant work experience.
