Job summary

Fairmont Banff Springs is seeking a Food Stores Attendant to support beverage and general supplies operations. You will ensure items are unloaded, stored properly, and rotated using FIFO, while maintaining perpetual inventory and accurate order fulfillment.

The role starts at $20.86/hour with scheduled increases after six months and at three years, with benefits and on-site staff housing options available for full-time staff.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Unload and store items correctly and efficiently.
• Maintain inventory rotation (FIFO) and perpetual inventory records.
• Fill outlet orders and requisitions accurately.
• Assist with inventory counts and receiving paperwork.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Description

Food Stores ensures the smooth and efficient running of the Food & Liquor Stores, achieving maximum employee job satisfaction while adhering to the standards required by the Hotel. Attendants will generally work in the beverage area and general supplies area.

Starting Rate: $20.86 per hour

We recognize tenure through our compensation. Hourly rates increase after six months, and yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $26.88.

Job Duties Include:

Reporting to the Procurement & Inventory Supervisor, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Ensure all items are properly unloaded and stored in the correct location
• Maintaining exceptional rotation of products, First in First out
• Maintain a perpetual inventory on all products
• Fill all outlet orders and requisitions accurately
• Assist with all inventory counts
• Assist the Receiving department with paperwork retrieval and delivery to departments
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Your Skills & Qualifications:

• Knowledge of food and beverage products
• Previous warehouse experience an asset
• Knowledge of Birch Street (Inventory Software)
• Ability to work well under pressure, in a fast paced environment
• Must be a team player and have excellent organizational skills

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

• Constant standing and walking throughout shift
• Lifting and Carrying: Over 100lbs everyday
• Pushing Pulling: Over 150lbs everyday
• Repetitive Motions: Reaching, Walking, Standing, Lifting heavy objects
