Job summary

Yee Hong Centre For Geriatric Care in Markham, Ontario is seeking a Food Service Worker to support daily meal delivery, portioning and dessert service.

You will wash dishes, clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, and follow safety standards. This role requires ability to lift heavy trays, work in a fast-paced environment, and pass a Vulnerable Sector Check.

Qualifications

• Completion of, or current enrollment in a recognized Food Service Worker Program.
• Current Food Handler Safety Certificate.
• Experience in the food services industry.

Responsible for the delivery of meals, portioning and serving dessert, dishwashing, cleaning and sanitizing of cooking equipment, pots, pan and small dishware as well as general and special cleaning in the kitchen in accordance with government and organization policies and standards.Qualifications:Successful completion of, or is currently enrolled in a recognized Food Service Worker ProgramCurrent Food Handler Safety CertificateSome experience in food services industryAbility to lift heavy industrial size food trays, pots and pansAbility to work in a fast paced environmentSatisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector ScreenAbility to understand and follow oral and written instructions in English.
