Job summary

Covenant Living in Beaumont, AB is seeking a Food Service Worker on a temporary part-time basis (0.42 FTE) to serve meals to residents in accordance with posted menus and resident choices. The role includes preparing items such as sandwiches, salads and beverages, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, washing dishes, and ensuring dining areas are clean and sanitized.

A team-oriented, reliable individual is preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of grade 10.
• Food Safe One Course through Public Health.
• Previous Institutional Food Service experience required.
• Vaccination against required communicable diseases per policy.

Responsibilities

• Deliver resident meal service following menus and residents' choices.
• Prepare food items such as sandwiches, salads and beverages.
• Maintain cleanliness; wash dishes and cookware; set up and sanitize areas.

Food Service Worker delivers resident meal service in a safe manner following correct procedures for preparation, portioning, and serving of foods in accordance with posted menus and residents choice. Preparation of food items, include, but are not limited to: Sandwich fillings, sandwiches, salads, nourishments, breakfast items, hot and cold beverages. The successful candidate is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, including washing dishes and cookware, set up, cleaning and sanitizing main kitchen, cafeteria, dining room and kitchenette areas.

This position will:

Qualifications:

• Completion of grade 10
• Food Safe One Course through Public Health
• Previous Institutional Food Service experience required
• Capable of working independently as well as within a team environment
• This position requires you to be vaccinated against all required communicable diseases under Covenant Care's OHS policy
