Job summary

Covenant Health invites applications for a Food Services Attendant I at Grey Nuns Community Hospital in Edmonton. The role supports meal service in an acute/continuing care setting, including portioning, packaging and serving per menu and temperature standards.

Responsibilities include cleaning tasks across kitchen areas. The position is temporary part-time (0.60 FTE) with shifts days, evenings and weekends, and requires grade 10 plus health and safety awareness.

Job description

Must be able to cope with high noise levels during meal services.Operation of computerized cash registers and associated computer programs.Occasionally required to lift weights up to 25lbs.Good manual and visual dexterity.Significant periods of standing during the majority of shift.Exposure to various chemical compounds and cleaners, some that require special handling.Must be able to work holidays, weekends and flexible hours as workload demands.Please note: Classifications Under Review.

The position is also responsible for cleaning equipment, supplies and surfaces throughout the kitchen. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the CUPE 41 Collective Agreement.
