Job summary

Aramark at Saint Mary’s University is hiring a Food Service Worker. You’ll deliver quality service at campus food concepts, assist with warm customer interactions, and support dining operations for students, staff, and faculty.

You’ll handle light cash duties, educate guests on menu items, and ensure cleanliness and safety across stations, with opportunities to work in multiple venues on campus. This union role includes benefits and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience is an asset.
• Experience as a server is an asset.
• Valid WHMIS and Food Safe (Basic or Advanced), First Aid Certification is an asset.
• Knowledge of and commitment to upholding high standards of food safety and hygiene.
• Additional certification may be required by work location.
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently supervised and unsupervised.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine desire to provide outstanding customer service.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities

As a Food Service Worker at Saint Mary's Student Center, you’ll take on the important task of creating an exceptional food service experience at one of our food concepts in the Student Center and/or the Gorsebrook Lounge for the students, staff and faculty of Saint Mary’s University.

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50.
