Job summary

Aramark Canada is seeking a dedicated Food Service Worker to support grill and service areas, ensuring timely preparation of menu items and strict adherence to food safety standards. You will monitor temperatures, maintain cleanliness, and assist in receiving deliveries while collaborating with the kitchen team.

The role requires the ability to work quickly under pressure, follow written and verbal instructions, and uphold personal hygiene and company policies.

Qualifications

• Food Service Certificate as needed.
• Sufficient education or training to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Be able to work quickly and concisely under pressure.

• Monitor and record food and equipment temperature.
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment including pot/dish wash and deep clean duties.
• Attend in-house training sessions.
• Maintain personal hygiene, appearance, and uniform to company regulations always.
• Comply and assist in the promotion and implementation of the company's health and safety policy.
• Comply and assist in the promotion and implementation of the company's policies and procedures.
• Ensure all food hygiene regulations are adhered to To assist chefs with the checking in of food deliveries ensuring that only the highest standards of produce is accepted into the units.
• To ensure that all food storage align with food hygiene regulations and that stock rotation system is being followed.
• Cleaning duties associated with service and related equipment and/or furniture.
• Preparation of service area and/or service points.
• Accurate storage of food items and equipment after service.

Job Description

The Food Service Worker is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting menu items at the grill station in a timely and efficient manner. Duties include grilling burgers, sandwiches, breakfast items, and other made-to-order dishes while maintaining consistent food quality, portion control, and presentation. Responsible for keeping the workstation clean and organized, following food safety and sanitation standards, monitoring food supplies, and ensuring orders are completed accurately and promptly. Must be able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, multitask, and work effectively as part of a team.
