Aramark Canada Dalhousie Food Services is seeking a Food Service Worker to provide friendly, efficient customer service at campus dining locations. You will educate customers on menu items, assist with food preparation and help maintain clean, sanitized work areas.

This unionized role offers benefits and opportunities to work across multiple campus stores, with potential for training and growth within Aramark.

• Experience in restaurant/food service is an asset.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assures quality, courteous customer service is provided to all customers
• Educate customers on menu items, daily features
• Maintains continual cleaning and sanitizing of surrounding work area
• Food preparation
• Stock and merchandise shelves
• May wash and sanitize component dishes and utensils
• Record temperatures, label products in accordance with FIFO, complete waste log and cleaning log
• Adhere to all Aramark policies and procedures including occupational health and safety and food safety
• May perform other job duties as required
• Perform at multiple stores with standards of its own

This is a unionized position with SEIU Local 2.
