Job summary

Sodexo Group in Vaughan, Canada, is hiring a Food Service Supervisor/Diet Technician to lead nutrition staff in a hospital/long-term care setting. You will oversee service quality, schedules, training, and inventory to ensure excellent patient care and compliant operations.

The role requires at least 2 years of managerial experience in healthcare food service, a Food and Nutrition Management diploma or CSNM certification, strong communication skills, and a focus on safety and accuracy in daily

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience managing diverse teams in a hospital or LTC environment.
• Food and Nutrition Management diploma, CSNM certification and active food safety training certificate.
• CBORD experience preferred.
• Solid knowledge of WHMIS and Food and Nutrition Management systems.
• Proven ability to react with good judgement and problem-solving; meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Great customer relations skills.
• Detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Food Service and Nutrition staff to ensure world-class service to patients and residents.
• Monitor weekly work schedules reflecting business needs and KPIs.
• Lead staff in a productive and efficient manner maintaining service and event setup standards.
• Ensure exceptional service levels for patients and residents through training, performance management and leadership.
• Ensure employees follow all company and local rules on food safety, fire and hazard safety and security.
• Prepare and review all setup for daily functions.
• Maintain proper par stocks for supplies.
• Assist in inventory management.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description

• Oversee Food Service and Nutrition staff to ensure the world class level of service is provided to all patients and residents

• Meet exceptional service levels for all patients and residents through focusing on employee training, performance management and leadership
• Ensure that employees follow all company and local rules, policies and regulations relating to food safety, fire and hazard safety, and security
• Carefully prepare and review all set up for daily functions
• Maintain proper par stocks for supplies
• Assist in the inventory management
• Other Duties as assigned
