Alberta Health Services is seeking a Food Service I to support the Nutrition Food Service team at Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge. You will prepare, portion, package and serve meals, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Casual/Relief position with shifts including days, evenings and weekends. Minimum 3–4 days per week may be required; candidates should be able to lift up to 46 lbs and handle carts up to 250 lbs. Training provided and benefits may apply.

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent.
• Read/Write/Speak/Understand English.
• Availability for day and evening shifts including weekends.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent.Physically capable to lift food, supplies and equipment up to 46lbs and must be able to push/pull meal carts up to 250lbs.This position requires you to walk and stand on your feet for the duration of your shift.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Read/Write/Speak/Understand English.Available to work both day and evening shifts (6:15-2:30pm and 11:45am-8pm); available 3-4 days per week at minimum, including weekends.

Preferred Qualifications:

A minimum of 3 years of food service experience in a retail setting.Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) system.Cash handling experience.Experience with industrial food service equipment.Food Safe Certificate or equivalent.Catering Experience.Barista skills.Short order cooking skills.
