Job summary

Aramark Canada is hiring a Delivery Driver to support Dalhousie University campus operations in Halifax. You'll ensure timely delivery, stocking, and setup across campus outlets, and assist with catering deliveries as needed.

This role reports to the Vending Manager and requires reliable transportation, a clean driver’s abstract, and customer-focused service. We offer a union environment with SEIU Local 2, competitive pay CAD 20–21 per hour, and benefits including medical and dental, paid

Qualifications

• Experience in delivery driving or catering is an asset.
• Valid Driver's License and clean Abstract required.
• Neat and professional appearance.
• Ability to work under supervision or independently.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Team player with adaptability to changing priorities.
• Flexible schedule; some evenings and weekends may be required.

The Driver will report to the Vending Manager and be responsible for delivering, stocking, supporting, and working within all retail outlets across the Dalhousie University campus in Halifax.

Job Responsibilities

• Pick up/deliver all products to food service locations across campus
• Support catering team with delivering catering supplies, including tables, chairs, linens and cutlery across campus
• Support catering team with delivering catering orders to clients across campus
• Pick up/drop off coin orders and cash deposits
• Adhere to all Aramark and Dalhousie University policies and procedures
• General preventative maintenance on vehicle (drivers checklist)
• Maintain safe and structured driving patterns (good driving habits)
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Experience in delivery driving, catering, food service considered an asset
• Valid Driver's License and clear Driver's Abstract is required
• Must maintain neat and professional appearance
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently supervised and unsupervised
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine desire to provide outstanding customer service.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to ensure smooth operations.
• Must be adaptable, as priorities are subject to change throughout the day/week etc.
• Flexible schedule, as some evening and weekend work may be required

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00.
