O Foods Ltd, located just west of Winnipeg, Manitoba, is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to participate in calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment, perform finished product testing, and report results. The role involves sample handling, documentation in Excel, and coordinating external lab submissions.

You will work in a team-focused environment that emphasizes food safety, continuous improvement, and accountability.

Qualifications

• A technical diploma and 1–2 years of laboratory experience in the food or related industry.
• Experience in commissioning and start-ups is an asset.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsabilités

• Confirm laboratory equipment are maintained and function properly and that adequate parts and supplies are available in storage.
• Execute the laboratory methods to evaluate finished product samples.
• Record results in laboratory notebooks and Excel files.
• Confirm results are within specification and authorize product release when required.
• Communicate out of specification inventory to production team.
• Prepare and send samples to external laboratories and update results.
• Ship qualification samples to customers.
• Regularly clean working areas in the laboratory.
• Assist with complaint investigations and corrective actions with the team.
• Contribute to a plant-wide food safety culture and a respectful work environment.
