Job summary

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Food Promotion Associate on a permanent basis for our Consumer Products team in Saskatoon, SK. This hybrid role supports the creation and maintenance of accurate item records and assists with promotional planning, procurement, warehousing, and product launches.

You will work with Home and Building Associates and other functions to ensure data accuracy and prevent issues that could impact operations.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in retail/wholesale industry.
• General knowledge and interest in food and grocery stores.
• Ability to work cross-functionally to support promotions and data quality.

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Food Promotion Associate on a permanent basis on our Consumer Products team. This position is a hybrid opportunity and will be based in Saskatoon, SK.

The Food Promotion Associate supports the creation and maintenance of accurate item records, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient promotional planning, procurement, warehousing, and product launches while proactively identifying and preventing data issues that could impact business operations. If you are passionate about data accuracy and playing a key role in supporting promotional planning and business success,

What you’ll do:

• Create and maintain accurate item records by reviewing and validating listing information to ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with business requirements.
• Maintain and process item cost updates by validating information, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring data accuracy to proactively prevent errors and support business operations.
• Prepare promotional margin information by calculating and adding margin percentages to support pricing decisions and promotional planning for retail stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with shipping and receiving regulations, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and prepare supplier claims, retail debits, and credits to support smooth business operations.
• Other job duties as assigned.

The Team:

You will work closely with Home and Building Associates to support the Category Managers. This team is committed to fostering a collaborative, team-oriented culture that values accuracy, accountability, and excellence.

The Collaborators

You will work closely with other functions in our Consumer Products business unit and collaborate across the organization with teams such as Private Label team, Procurement, and Operations teams.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations and:

• Have 2 years of experience in retail/wholesale industry.
• Have a Grade 12 diploma and a one-year business/marketing certificate. Preference will be given to those individuals who hold an additional business/marketing diploma or degree.(a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
• Have a general knowledge and interest of food and grocery stores.
