Aramark is seeking a General Helper – Barista at Bishop’s University in Sherbrooke for the summer, transitioning to full-time in fall. The role involves making beverages and food, delivering excellent customer service, operating the cash register, and maintaining clean stations in a fast-paced setting.

Immediate start date, part-time for summer with potential to become full-time; bilingualism is a plus as some customers are English-speaking.

General Helper – Barista

Location: Bishop’s University (2600 College Street, Sherbrooke, QC J1M 1Z7)

Salary: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour, depending on experience

Schedule: To be discussed during the interview. This is a part-time position for the summer and will become full-time in the fall.

Start Date: Immediate

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare quality beverages, brewed coffee, and food items for customers by following established recipes and standards
• Provide exceptional customer service, always placing the customer first
• Operate the cash register
• Setting up workstations and service areas
• Preparing sandwiches
• Rotate food products according to established procedures
• Restock refrigerators
• Clean service areas
• Follow all established safety regulations
• Respond effectively to operational needs
• Perform any other related duties as required

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 to 3 years of café experience is considered an asset
• Ability to learn quickly
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions and seek clarification when necessary
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
