Job summary

Walmart Canada is seeking a Food and Consumables Associate to provide excellent customer service while maintaining and zoning the food and consumables area. The role supports stocking, pricing and proper stock rotation to ensure fresh products and accurate signs.

The position starts at a minimum pay rate of CAD 18.40 per hour, with responsibilities including adherence to cold chain standards and inventory control in a retail environment at 3355 Johnston Rd, Port Alberni, BC.

Responsibilities

• Zones the department to ensure product shelves, tables and bunkers are organized and product is in the correct location.
• Rotates stock and checks for expired products.
• Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced.
• Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
• Follows proper procedures for; Ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
