Job summary

Walmart in Powell River is seeking a Food and Consumables Associate to deliver exemplary customer service while maintaining the food and consumables area, stocking and merchandising. You will zone the department, rotate stock, verify pricing, and follow cold chain, thermometer calibrations, and food safety policies.

This role supports inventory accuracy and efficient store operations. The position starts at a minimum hourly rate of $18.40 CAD, with opportunities to contribute to a busy retail

• Zones the department to ensure product shelves, tables and bunkers are organization and product is in the correct location
• Rotates stock and checks for expired products.
• Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced.
• Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates
• Follows proper procedures for; Ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
