Job summary

Pursuit is seeking team members to provide a warm, engaging guest experience at our high-altitude restaurant. You will greet guests, assist with hosting, barista duties, and light bartending while ensuring service standards and accuracy at the POS.

In a seasonal role, you’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment, working varied shifts, and embracing the outdoors in changing weather. Prior hospitality exposure is valued, with Pro-Serve qualification required.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and strong communication are essential.
• Food & beverage experience is preferred but not required.
• Must be enthusiastic about hospitality and guest service.
• Pro-Serve qualification is required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for long periods.
• Work outdoors at high altitude and in varied weather conditions.
• Secondary language skills are an asset.

Responsibilities

• Greet and engage guests warmly as they enter the restaurant.
• Work shifts including hosting, barista, bussing, and basic bartending.
• Operate the POS system and handle cash and cards accurately.
• Deliver Pursuit Hospitality Standards and excellent guest service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of service and dining areas.
• Perform well in high-volume periods to ensure a consistent dining experience.
• Other duties as assigned by the team.

This job is posted as part of our seasonal hiring for Fall/Winter, 2026, it will be a full time seasonal role.

The starting wage for this role is $17.00/hour.

Role & Responsibilities

• Provide a warm and welcoming experience by actively greeting and engaging with all guests as they enter the restaurant
• Working a variety of shifts that may include, food running, hosting, bussing tables, barista, restocking, and basic bartending
• Operate the point of sale system with accuracy and efficiency, responsible handling of cash, credit cards, and cash out forms
• Provide guests with exceptional service while implementing Pursuit Hospitality Standards
• Ensure maintenance and cleanliness of service and dining areas
• Work professionally during periods of high volume, ensuring all guests receive an exceptional and consistent dining experience
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Positive attitude and strong communication skills
• Previous Food & Beverage experience preferred but not required
• Must be enthusiastic about hospitality and providing warm, engaging service to high volumes of guests in a professional manner
• Comfortable lifting, pushing, and pulling objects weighing up to 50lbs.
• Energetic, self-motivated, and dependable.
• Pro-Serve qualification
• Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods of time in both an indoor and outdoor environment at a high altitude. Be prepared for all weather conditions (Snow, Rain, Wind, Hail) as the restaurant is at the top of Whistlers Mountain.
• Secondary language skills an asset.
