Job summary

Lora Bay, operated by Great Gulf Group of Companies, is seeking friendly servers to join our Food & Beverage team in Thornbury. You will deliver attentive service and help create memorable dining experiences for members and guests.

Full-time positions are available. The role requires a guest-focused attitude, flexibility to work indoors and outdoors, and a willingness to contribute to a welcoming atmosphere with excellent hospitality.

Qualifications

• Experience in casual fine dining is an asset.
• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
• Food handling certification is an asset but not required.
• First Aid/CPR certification is an asset but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, present menus, inform guests of specials, and answer questions.
• Take orders and relay them to kitchen/bar via POS, noting modifications.
• Upsell wine and beverages to complement meals.
• Operate golf beverage cart and sell drinks and snacks.
• Ensure guest satisfaction and report issues to management.
• Maintain dining room setup and assist with side duties.

Lora Bay is seeking friendly and guest-focusedServers to join our Food & Beverage team in Thornbury.

Our Servers play an important role in creating a welcoming dining experience for our members and guests by delivering attentive service and ensuring every visit is enjoyable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet guests, present menus, inform guests of any specials, make recommendations and answer questions regarding food and beverage items
• Take food and beverage orders and accurately relay them to kitchen and bar staff via the POS system in a timely fashion, accurately and effectively communicating any modifications if required
• Upsell wine and beverage items to complement food selections
• Drive a golf beverage cart around the course and sell drinks, alcohol, and snacks
• Communicate course conditions and/or course issues with the pro shop
• Serve all food and beverage orders efficiently using proper service etiquette
• Ensure guest satisfaction and report any problems or concerns to the Food & Beverage Manager and/or Chef
• Ensure that the dining room area is properly set, cleared, cleaned, and re-set throughout the entire shift, including completion of side duties
• Ensure guest complaints are resolved in a professional way
• Other duties as assigned

Work Arrangement:

• Working both indoors and outdoors during spring, summer, and fall in areas, including on the covered patio, dining room and conference rooms
• Moving furniture when preparing special arrangements.
• Walking, bending, carrying glassware, plates, glass racks, large platters, and chafing dishes.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Long periods of standing on your feet
• Must be willing to work multiple shifts including morning, afternoon, evenings, weekends and holidays

Compensation:

• Pay: $17.60 per hour
