Job summary

Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Partnership (MLSE) is seeking an Accountant to partner with Food & Beverage operations. You will manage month-end, accruals, inventory, and cost of sales while providing insightful financial reporting and collaboration with FP&A, Procurement, and Operations.

The role emphasizes understanding revenue streams, F&B costs, and event activity, with strong Excel/Oracle Cloud ERP usage and cross-functional teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of a post-secondary degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of relevant accounting experience with month-end activities, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
• Enrolled in or completed a recognized CPA designation.
• Strong knowledge of revenue and expense recognition, inventory, accruals, and balance sheet accounting.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to translate financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end journal entries, accruals, revenue and expense recognition, and reconciliations.
• Manage cost of sales, inventory-related entries, and supporting schedules for accurate reporting.
• Analyze monthly results, identify variances, and provide actionable insights.
• Reconcile sales/payments across POS and financial systems; ensure revenue is recorded accurately.
• Support budgeting/forecasting with historical insights and margin drivers.
