Job Title: Food and Beverage Assistant Manager
Reports to: Director of Food & Beverage Operations

General Description:
The Food and Beverage Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting in planning and overseeing all venues in the Food and Beverage department at the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park (CSBP). This position supervises all aspects of CSBP operations, maintaining profitable restaurants and outlets, and high-quality products and service levels that ensure exceptional guest service. This department includes the Cliffhouse Restaurant, Beary Waffle, Logger’s Grill, and the Cabin.
What you’ll do:
- Assist the F&B Manager in all aspects of CSBP F&B Operations.
- Model and manage effective supervision of all F&B venues to drive sales while maintaining exceptional guest service and CSBP standards.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work culture that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
- Lead and participate in recruitment and training of all F&B Team Members, ensuring all team members are trained for success, including standard operating procedures, safety protocols, and product knowledge.
- Maintain excellent internal and external customer service, addressing guest concerns and needs.
- Lead F&B Team Engagement by establishing recognition programs, creating a fun team culture, and supporting team growth.
- Hold daily briefings with Supervisors and Team Members to maintain communication and establish goals.
- Ensure smooth service execution, including being present during service hours.
- Create department schedules to maximize coverage, working within budget.
- Recognize and reward team performance aligned with CSBP’s high standards.
- Manage food and beverage deliveries, quality checks, and inventory.
- Ensure proper accounting controls and food safety practices are followed.
- Investigate and resolve quality and service complaints.
- Support safety protocols to ensure team and guest safety.
- Support other Capilano Group locations as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Who you are:
- At least 3 years of management or supervisory experience in the Food & Beverage industry.
- Completion or ongoing completion of a University or College degree in Tourism/Hospitality Management or related discipline is an asset.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and POS systems.
- Food Safe Level 1 certification, Serving it Right certification, and First Aid Level 1 (or willingness to train).
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Salary: $54,000 per annum plus benefits
