Job Summary

This position is responsible for executing the department's daily, weekly, and monthly operating plans. The Manager provides coaching and support to Supervisors and front-line team members, leading and assisting in overseeing business operations. The role involves developing and implementing innovative programs, operational processes, and procedures to reduce costs and increase sales and profitability. The Manager ensures operational excellence and supports team members to deliver exceptional guest experiences, aligning with the company's values and beliefs.

Responsibilities
  1. Organize daily administrative duties for Supervisors & Team Captains.
  2. Manage staffing schedules within the approved labor budget.
  3. Create weekly schedules and review payroll through the attendance system.
  4. Address employee issues such as performance, attendance, grievances, and disciplinary actions.
  5. Train, coach, and assist Supervisors to ensure smooth peak period operations.
  6. Oversee the planning and organization of food and beverage preparation and merchandising plans.
  7. Ensure all food and beverage products meet performance standards, including recipes and merchandising.
  8. Support Supervisors in conducting pre-shift and post-shift meetings.
  9. Train Supervisors on SOPs, standards, policies, and procedures, ensuring proper communication and coaching.
  10. Handle guest complaints escalated beyond first level, making necessary adjustments to ensure positive experiences.
  11. Monitor ordering and receiving of goods from the warehouse / kitchen.
  12. Lead by example, promoting WEG’s values and beliefs.
Qualifications
  1. Recognized course in Hotel / Restaurant Administration or Management.
  2. 3-4 years of practical experience managing a multi-unit F&B operation.
  3. Certified in WHMIS, Food Handler, and Smart Serve.
  4. Experience in managing people is required.
  5. Advanced knowledge of QSR and F&B operations.
  6. Familiarity with collective agreements and unionized environments.
  7. Knowledge of safe food handling and alcoholic beverage practices.
  8. Proficiency in inventory control systems.
  9. Skills in conflict resolution, coaching, and training.
  10. Understanding of financial reports and operational impacts.
  11. Advanced food preparation and merchandising knowledge.
