Weatherford is expanding into the Hydro Lyft service line in Canada. This service is in high demand with many large operators, and we're looking for self-driven individuals. The Hydro Lyft technology is designed to achieve low density while maximizing debris carrying capacity for optimal results in low pressure wells. Candidates residing in Whitecourt, Grande Prairie, or within a daily commutable distance to Whitecourt are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Load and secure chemistry totes for jobs
- Perform rig-up and rig-out duties with equipment on location, as assigned by the Senior Operator and/or Supervisor
- Operate, maintain, and repair equipment as required
- Regularly observe equipment-operating parameters
- Report potential problems to the Senior Operator and/or Supervisor
- Run hoses and manifolds according to rig-up layout
- Perform jar tests and record information based on work instructions
- Track product inventory and burn rate
- Monitor hopper and flash mixer
- Flush and clean mixer, mixing tank, and HL plumbing
- Communicate effectively with team members
- Follow safety protocols and wear PPE as assigned
- Operate forklift and trailer safely
- Adhere to safe working procedures
- Maintain close contact with the Supervisor regarding work assignments
- Report all incidents and accidents
- Maintain professional communication with all crewmembers and company representatives
Requirements
- 1-2 years of oilfield experience; experience on a Coil Tubing Unit, Pumping Unit, or Service Rig is preferred
- Valid Class 5 Driver's license
- Basic knowledge of equipment functions
- Ability to understand and interpret instructions both written and verbal
- Ability to identify dangerous conditions and respond appropriately
- Thorough knowledge of safety policies and emergency procedures
- Responsible interaction with crewmembers and company representatives
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Mechanical inclination
- Forklift certification or experience is a plus
