Job summary

Fortinos in Hamilton, Ontario is seeking a Floral Designer to prepare and display floral arrangements and giftware, while delivering warm, friendly service.

You will assist the department manager, manage orders, maintain sanitation, and train or supervise part-time staff as needed. Availability across days, evenings, and weekends is essential.

Experience or education in floral design is required, along with strong organization and communication skills.

What you’ll do

• Serve customers in an efficient and friendly manner.
• Foster strong customer loyalty by providing exceptional customer relations through selling, educating and consulting.
• Uphold our high quality standards of product ensuring proper care, rotation, processing and maintenance of all floral items.
• Assist the department manager with the day to day operations of the department by placing orders for product and supplies, receiving, taking orders, training and supervising part time employees.
• Ensure that the safety and sanitation of the department meet Company and legislative policies and standards.
• Record all waste and scan outs according to Company procedures.
• Perform other duties, as assigned.
