Sobeys in Calgary, AB is seeking a retail clerk to deliver exceptional customer service while ensuring the sales floor is clean and organized.

You will enter and scan items, process payments, balance the till, and meet productivity standards. Flexibility to work various shifts and stand for long periods is required.

Responsibilities

• Enter and/or scan the item(s) selected by the customer.
• Ensure entered/scanned prices are accurate, and cancel transactions according to established standards.
• Handle cash and other payment methods (debit cards, cheques, etc.) and make deposits according to established policies.
• Balance the cash register.
• Meet productivity standards (sales/hour, entries/minute).
• Provide exceptional and attentive customer service.
• Bag items according to established standards.
• Keep work areas and uniform clean and well-maintained.
• Use equipment and supplies in a safe and efficient manner.
• Comply with established food safety and hygiene standards.
• Perform any other related duties.
