Job summary

Orilla Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital seeks a Registered Practical Nurse to join the Float Team. The RPN will provide patient-centred nursing care across inpatient and clinical areas, under direction of physicians and RNs, following Ontario standards.

Responsibilities include assessments, plan implementation, medication administration, invasive procedures within scope, and patient education to support safe transitions and continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses (CNO).
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required; CPR Level HCP acceptable.
• IV certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care across multiple inpatient and clinical areas.
• Administer medications and monitor effects with accurate documentation.
• Perform head-to-toe assessments and monitor vital signs.
• Support pre/post-operative care as required.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
