The role involves performing routine maintenance on building systems, responding to requests promptly, and keeping thorough records while adhering to health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Facility maintenance experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC.
  • Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • Proficient English communication; reading/writing skills.
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada; valid WHMIS upon hire.
  • COVID-19 vaccination proof.
  • Ministry of Justice Criminal Record Check on hire and every 5 years.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on building systems (plumbing, painting, carpentry).
  • Inspect equipment and facilities to identify issues.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or management.
  • Maintain records of repairs and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Assist with moving furniture, setting up equipment, and other general facility tasks.

  • Status: Casual, On-Call
  • Wage: $30 per hour
Maintenance Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous facility maintenance experience is preferred
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Proven organizational skills and ability to work under strict time constraints
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada
  • Valid WHMIS certification upon hire (maintained annually)
  • Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination
  • Ability to pass and maintain a clear Ministry of Justice Criminal Record Check (upon hire and every 5 years thereafter)
Maintenance Responsibilities:
