Job summary

AirSprint in Calgary is seeking a Flight Coordinator to support the safe, efficient operation of company flights. You will assist pilots with trip logistics, documentation, and timely communication to ensure regulatory compliance.

The role requires at least 1 year of aviation logistics experience, knowledge of Transport Canada regulations, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Expect shift-based scheduling and a starting salary of CAD 50,000 with benefits.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of related experience in operational logistics, preferably in aviation.
  • Knowledge of Transport Canada Regulations and Standards is desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Completion of Transport Canada’s Flight Dispatcher FDOPS and FDMET exams is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate operational requirements for company flights, including customs, airport slots, permits, and access requirements.
  • Coordinate airport services and support requirements, including FBO notifications and handling arrangements.
  • Confirm flight assignments with crew and ensure documentation complies with regulations.
  • Communicate with overseas trip planning providers for outbound flights.
  • Coordinate crew meal arrangements and ensure policy compliance.
  • Identify enhanced support requirements to maximize crew rest and readiness.
  • Support Irregular Operations (IROPs) response and recovery to maintain performance.
  • Assist with crew travel logistics and after-hours support when Travel Coordinators are off shift.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Operations Control Manager.

Reporting to: Operations Control Manager


Location: Calgary, Palmer Hangar


Schedule: Four days on shift followed by four days off, based on 12-hour workday.


Starting Salary: $50,000


Closing Date: October 14, 2026

As a Flight Coordinator is responsible for coordinating operational logistics to support the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of company flights. This role supports pilots by ensuring trip logistics and supporting documentation are completed accurately and communicated in a timely manner. The Flight Coordinator works proactively to support future flight operations while adapting to same-day operational changes as required.


In this role you will:


  • Coordinate operational requirements for company flights, including customs arrangements, airport slots, permits, and airport access requirements.

  • Coordinate airport services and support requirements, including FBO notifications, handling arrangements, aircraft cleaning, and other operational logistics.

  • Confirm flight assignments with crew members and ensure flight details and supporting documentation are communicated in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.

  • Communicate and monitor the completion of overseas flight requirements with third-party international trip planning providers.

  • Coordinate crew meal arrangements in accordance with company standards and policies.

  • Identify and proactively coordinate Enhanced Support requirements for applicable flights, ensuring appropriate support measures are in place to maximize available crew rest and support operational readiness.

  • Ensure Irregular Operations (IROPs) response and recovery efforts are proactive and timely to preserve exceptional operational performance and customer service.

  • Provide support for crew travel logistics in accordance with company standards and policies as required, including after-hours coverage when Travel Coordinators are not on shift.

  • Additional duties as assigned by the Operations Control Manager.


To be successful in this role, you will have:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum of one (1) year of related experience facilitating operational logistics, preferably within the aviation industry.

  • Knowledge of Transport Canada Regulations and Standards.

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).

  • Completed Transport Canada’s Flight Dispatcher Generic Written Examinations (FDOPS and FDMET) is an asset.
