Your Team:

Join the SOCC team at Flair as an Operations Coordinator, a detail-oriented and operationally driven professional supporting the efficient execution of day-to-day airline operations. This is a full-time, on-site position that is based at our Toronto (YYZ) office.

A Day in the Life:

As an Operations Coordinator, you will:

  • Support the Duty Officer in overseeing daily operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Monitor day-of-operations flights, proactively identifying and communicating delays or schedule changes to airport operations, dispatch, and maintenance teams.

  • Serve as the first point of contact for inbound crew and ground operations calls, directing inquiries and resolving operational issues promptly.

  • Coordinate in-flight service changes, including catering adjustments, on a per-flight basis.

  • Maintain operational software by ensuring accurate aircraft tail assignments and flight times, communicating updates to relevant departments.

  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly Operations Coordinator checklists to maintain operational consistency.

  • Ensure all APIS and GENDEC transmissions are completed accurately and in compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Investigate and follow up with station personnel and flight crews to ensure accurate coding and documentation of flight delays.

  • Review Captain reports, addressing operational concerns and ensuring on-time performance (OTP) delays are properly recorded.

  • Maintain Communication Logs, Shift Synopsis, and Documentation: Ensure detailed record-keeping of operational decisions, disruptions, and actions taken to maintain accurate operational history.

  • Disruption Recovery: Assist in the recovery planning of flights affected by weather, crew shortages, technical issues, or airport closures by working with internal stakeholders.

  • Oversee Irregular Operations (IROPs): Assist in the execution of IROPs plans, including handling aircraft swaps, rerouting, and passenger recovery strategies.

  • Assist in the coordination and planning of ad hoc charter flights, including securing ground handling arrangements and airport PPRs.

  • Liaise with the Maintenance Control Centre (MCC): Work closely with MCC to ensure aircraft availability, maintenance actions, and fleet positioning align with the operational schedule.

  • Assist in the Development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Provide feedback and contribute to the continuous improvement of OCC procedures to enhance efficiency and response capabilities.

  • Generate Reports for Operational Performance Tracking: Assist in compiling reports related to on-time performance, flight delays, crew utilization, and irregular operations for management review.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

What You Bring to the Role:

The preferred candidate should exemplify Flair's core values of honesty, efficiency, accountability, and respect, while demonstrating success in previous roles. Additionally, we are seeking individuals who possess:

  • Education:
