Job summary

MANNARINO Systems & Software Inc. in Montreal seeks Flight Control Application System Verification Engineers to support the development and verification of safety-critical aerospace systems, focusing on flight control applications.

The role spans junior to senior engineers; you will develop, review and refine verification procedures, perform integration, test, analyze results, ensure traceability, and contribute to cross-disciplinary verification activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
  • Experience in systems engineering, integration, verification and validation.
  • Knowledge of flight control systems or other safety-critical embedded control systems.
  • Familiarity with DO-178 and aerospace standards.
  • Experience creating and executing verification test procedures.
  • Experience with system integration and test activities.
  • Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink for modeling and verification.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Career Opportunity and Primary Roles / Responsibilities

We are seeking Flight Control Application System Verification Engineers to support at our client in the development and verification of safety-critical aerospace systems, with a focus on flight control applications. This opportunity is suited to junior, intermediate, and senior system engineers with experience in Integration, Verification & Validation activities.

The successful candidate will:

  • Develop, review, and refine verification test procedures based on system requirements.
  • Perform system integration, verification, and validation testing on system test benches and integration platforms.

Required Competencies
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in systems engineering, integration, verification, and validation activities.
  • Knowledge of flight control systems or other safety-critical embedded control systems.
  • Familiarity with aerospace development and certification environments, including DO-178 and related industry standards.
  • Experience creating and executing verification test procedures.
  • Experience with system integration and test activities.
  • Knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink for modeling, analysis, and verification activities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with requirements management and traceability tools is an asset.
  • Experience with configuration management and change management processes is an asset.
  • Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is highly desirable.
Miscellaneous Requirements
  • The work model is hybrid (at least 3 days at the office in Montreal).
  • Professional proficiency in spoken and written French is mandatory.
  • Occasional travel may be required based on project needs.
