Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart is a locally owned and operated store delivering health, beauty and convenience in your community. This role focuses on assisting with dispensing prescriptions, supporting pharmacy services, and maintaining the Pharmacy according to Practice Standards.

You will greet customers, collect prescription data, consult with pharmacists on clinical questions, handle third‑party billing, and ensure accurate data entry while upholding confidentiality and privacy requirements.

Qualifications

• Registered with the province licensing college.
• Diploma from a Pharmacy Technician College.
• Previous Pharmacy Experience preferred.
• Effective organizational skills and multitasking.
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and gather prescription information according to Standards.
• Refer to the pharmacist all clinical inquiries.
• Accurate dispensing prescription medications.
• Adjudicate third party billing, online and manage manual Third-Party Accounts.
• Receive new and repeat prescription orders in accordance with SOPs.
• Answer telephone and refer to a pharmacist when necessary.
• Maintain and control the cash register in the dispensary.
• Adhere to confidentiality and privacy requirements.
