Job summary

Umbrella Family and Child Centres of Hamilton invites applicants for a casual, part-time Supply Educator. The role supports staff across centres, planning activities and fostering a safe, nurturing environment for children.

The position requires 1 year of childcare experience, relevant diplomas are an asset, and practical certifications (First Aid, police check, immunizations) are preferred. Flexible hours and multiple Hamilton locations offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience working with children in a childcare setting or related experience with school-age children preferred.
• Diploma in Early Childhood Education is an asset; other related diplomas may be considered.
• Standard First Aid with CPR Level C is preferred.
• Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check is preferred.
• Immunization (TB, Tetanus, MMR) up-to-date is required or recommended.

Responsibilities

• Support full- and part-time staff at assigned childcare centres.
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities aligned with learning guidelines.
• Maintain a safe, nurturing environment and collaborate with Hamilton Wentworth District School Board staff.
