Lovisa is seeking an energetic Sales Associate to join our retail team in Newmarket. You will deliver standout customer service, greeting shoppers and making personalized product recommendations while supporting store operations.

You will handle POS transactions, maintain visual merchandising, stock shelves, and assist with daily reports and projects. The role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends and holidays, strong communication, and a genuine passion for fashion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Previous retail experience is an asset.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay organized.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Passion for retail and fashion is highly valued.
• Flexibility for evenings, weekends and holidays is required.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Basic math and attention to detail are important.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting customers, understanding their needs, and providing personalized product recommendations.
• Process transactions accurately using our Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Maintain store appearance through regular cleaning, organizing, and straightening of merchandise.
• Execute daily stocking tasks, including receiving shipments, replenishing sales floor inventory, and organizing stockroom.
• Support Store Manager with daily operations, reports, and special projects.
• Build deep product knowledge to effectively communicate features and benefits to customers.
• Drive sales through suggestive selling and creating genuine connections with customers.
• Embody our brand values and serve as a brand ambassador both in-store and in the community.
