Job summary

Qualicare Homecare BC is seeking Health Care Aides/Caregivers across the North Shore region. The HCA/Caregiver works under the Care Coordinator, performing personal care services to meet client needs. Immediate openings in North Vancouver, West Vancouver, and surrounding communities.

Resident on the North Shore with reliable commute to shifts and relevant certifications is required. Training, flexible hours, and ongoing shifts are provided to build client relationships.

Qualifications

• Must reside on the North Shore or be fully willing and able to reliably commute to shifts across North Vancouver and West Vancouver.
• Health Care Aide Certificate or equivalent (foreign-trained nurse, nursing student).
• Current CPR/First Aid training or willingness to obtain
• CRC for Vulnerable Sector (valid for 5 years) or willingness to obtain
• Ability to travel around North Vancouver and West Vancouver
• Access to Internet / smart phone with data

Responsibilities

• Assistance with personal care and hygiene
• Meal Preparation
• Light Housekeeping
• Accompany clients on outings
• Shopping and errands
• Medication Assist / Reminders
• Ambulation and transporting of clients
• Provide companionship to clients
• Ability to follow care-plan
• Documentation / Charting

Education

Health Care Aide Certificate or equivalent
