Diamond Aircraft Canada is seeking a Fleet Sales Associate/Ferry Pilot to grow aircraft fleet sales and ensure safe, efficient deliveries. This role requires aviation expertise, strong communication, and the ability to build lasting customer relationships.

The position involves frequent domestic and international travel, including extended deployments for aircraft delivery and customer support. Strong sales acumen and flight operations knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Aviation, Business, Sales or a related field is preferred.
  • Valid and unrestricted Transport Canada Commercial Pilot License with Group 1 Instrument Rating and Category 1 Medical.
  • Minimum of 1,000 hours of flight experience; strong piston aircraft knowledge.
  • Passport with no international travel restrictions.
  • Aircraft sales or business development experience preferred.
  • Experience with Salesforce or CRM systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the sales process for our aircraft fleet, including responding to customer inquiries, developing proposals, negotiating contracts, and closing sales.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring their needs are met and satisfaction with our products and services.
  • Work with the sales team to meet revenue targets and ensure company goals are achieved.
  • Provide regular reports on sales activity, pipeline status, revenue forecasts, and feedback.
  • Oversee fulfillment of fleet orders and supervise service for fleet accounts.
  • Lead fleet-specific marketing efforts and support strategic business plans.
  • Leverage customer insights to identify opportunities and product strategies.
  • Grow Diamond's brand across flight schools throughout North America.
  • Travel extensively to deliver aircraft and support customers.

Job Summary:

The Fleet Sales Associate/Ferry Pilot will play a critical role in growing aircraft fleet sales while ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of aircraft to customers. This position requires a high level of aviation knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships. This position also requires frequent domestic and international travel, including extended periods away from home, as required for aircraft delivery and customer support.

Responsibilities
Fleet Sales:
  • Manage the sales process for our aircraft fleet, including responding to customer inquiries, developing proposals, negotiating contracts, and closing sales.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring that their needs are being met and that they are satisfied with our products and services.
  • Work closely with other members of the sales team to ensure that sales goals are being met and that the company is meeting its overall revenue targets.
  • Provide regular reports on sales activity, including pipeline status, revenue forecasts, and customer feedback.
  • Manage the fulfillment of all fleet orders and supervise customer service to fleet accounts.
  • Lead fleet-specific marketing efforts and assist in developing sales and marketing strategic business plans.
  • Leverage customer insights to identify business opportunities and product strategies.
  • Continue to grow Diamond's brand throughout flight schools across North America.
Ferry Pilot:
  • Fly aircraft to various locations, ensuring safe and efficient delivery to customers.
  • Conduct pre-flight inspections and plan and navigate flight routes.
  • Communicate regularly with customers and other members of the delivery team to ensure that all aspects of the delivery process are being managed effectively.
Skills and Experience Required:
  • Post-secondary education in Aviation, Business, Sales, or a related field is preferred.
  • Valid and unrestricted Transport Canada Commercial Pilot License with a Group 1 Instrument Rating and valid Category 1 Medical Certificate.
  • Minimum of 1,000 hours* of flight experience and a strong understanding of piston aircraft technology.
  • Valid passport with no restrictions on international travel.
  • Aircraft sales or business development experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the business and regulatory requirements applicable to flight schools is considered an asset.
  • Experience using Salesforce or other CRM systems is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong customer relationship management and business development skills, with the ability to proactively identify and develop new fleet sales opportunities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, internal teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including domestic and international travel, up to 50% or more of the time.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • An FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with the appropriate instrument rating is not required at the time of hire; however, the successful candidate must obtain and maintain the required FAA qualifications within 90 days of employment.

* Flight hours are used as a benchmark of pilot experience. Candidates selected for further consideration may be required to demonstrate that they meet the minimum flight standards established by the Chief Pilot.
