Burly Boyz Moving & Storage | Edmonton, AB | Full-time, Permanent, On-site
Wage: $26–$30/hour, based on experience · Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM · Benefits: Available after 3 months
Right now, every little thing that goes wrong with our trucks — down to a burnt-out light — leaves the yard and goes to an outside mechanic. That's slow, and it's expensive. We're hiring someone at our Calgary depot to change that.
You'll keep our fleet running through the demands of an Alberta winter, handle routine maintenance and small fixes in house instead of sending them out, and take ownership of our warehouse and customer storage area. It's a hands-on, own-your-day kind of role for someone who takes pride in a job done right and a truck that starts every morning.
This isn't a mechanic position — certified repairs, brake work, and inspections stay with our external shop. This role is about the everyday work that keeps a fleet reliable: preventive maintenance, minor defect correction, and a warehouse that runs like clockwork.
No forklift ticket? No problem. You'll need to get certified within 30 days of hire — we arrange and pay for the training.
This is an active role — expect to lift up to about 50 lbs regularly (team-lifting heavier items), be on your feet and moving all day, work in and around vehicles, and spend time outdoors in all weather, including winter. PPE is provided.
We're building the in-house capability to keep our own fleet running instead of relying on outside shops for every small thing. That means more ownership, more variety, and a bigger impact for the person in this seat — you'll see the direct result of your work every day, in trucks that start on time and a warehouse that runs right.
