Overview :

This position reports directly to the Director of Logistics – Canada and primarily supports operations in Quebec, while overseeing maintenance activities for all non-fleet garage locations across Canada.

Responsibilities / Essential Functions :

  1. Coordinate with external vendors to arrange and oversee maintenance and repair services in Quebec.
  2. Ensure timely scheduling of maintenance tasks and accurate entry of work orders into the Fleet Management program for all non-fleet garage locations across Canada.
  3. Monitor and ensure maintenance work is completed satisfactorily and on schedule; maintain a calendar scheduling system for all assigned locations and follow up on completion.
  4. Review invoices for accuracy, submit payments for maintenance services, and ensure adherence to budget guidelines.
  5. Maintain comprehensive records of all maintenance activities and costs within the Fleet Management database.
  6. Provide regular updates to the Director of Logistics regarding maintenance activities, expenses, and notable issues or trends.
  7. Ensure all assigned Fleet departments maintain a clean and safe work environment, complying with company standards and regulations.
  8. Conduct local fleet audits in Quebec to ensure compliance with policies and standards; develop and implement corrective actions for non-compliance.
  9. Assist in training field fleet personnel on maintenance procedures and best practices as needed.

Qualifications :

  • Experience in fleet management, maintenance, logistics, or related fields preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with vendors and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Canadian Compliance and DOT regulations is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Fleet Management software, Oracle, SAP, and TMS or similar systems.
  • Knowledge of maintenance scheduling and budget management.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within Quebec and occasionally across Canada.
  • Bilingual in English and French is preferred.
