Job summary

PepsiCo Inc. seeks a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of 5+ technicians across multiple locations, focusing on uptime and cost control for a diverse fleet of commercial vehicles and handling equipment.

You will oversee preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and major overhauls while coordinating with 3rd party vendors. Travel across Eastern Quebec and the Atlantic provinces is required, with emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of progressive experience in heavy equipment and commercial fleet maintenance.
• 2–3 years in a supervisory or lead mechanic role.
• Experience with large scale shop implementation and enhancements.
• Familiarity with MOT regulations, EPA guidelines preferred.
• Experience with fleet management software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 5+ mechanics and technicians, including scheduling, performance evaluations, training, and development across multiple locations.
• Develop strong relationship with 3rd party maintenance providers and external vendors.
• Oversee preventive maintenance, repairs, diagnostics, and major overhauls for a varied fleet of commercial vehicles and equipment.
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules to maximize reliability and minimize downtime.
• Ensure strict compliance with MOT, OSHA, EPA, and other regulations, including emissions standards and safety protocols.
• Monitor KPIs (MTTR, MTBF, cost per mile, PM) and drive data-informed improvements.
• Manage parts inventory, vendor relationships, and repair budgets to control costs.
• Coordinate with operations teams to prioritize repairs and support fleet availability.
• Conduct regular safety audits, toolbox talks, and quality inspections.
• Utilize fleet management software and CMMS to track work orders and compliance.
• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, learning, and teamwork.
• Project management – assess operations and determine internal vs external workflow; potential to set up new fleet shop locations.
• Travel required throughout Eastern Quebec and the Atlantic provinces.
