Job summary

A leading trailer manufacturing company is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Coordinator in Canada to ensure the reliability of their clients’ fleets. The role involves organizing maintenance activities, preparing detailed reports, and coordinating with various stakeholders. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years' experience in fleet maintenance and strong interpersonal skills. Qualifications

  • At least 5 years' experience in Fleet Maintenance.
  • Technical experience in the trucking industry.
  • Bilingualism is an asset.
  • Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting internal reports and KPIs.
  • Ability to work with little supervision.
  • Familiarity with rental and lease fleet operations.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative digital environment (e.g., Microsoft 365 suite).

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and send daily reports regarding fleet units.
  • Communicate with customers and vendors about ETAs.
  • Manage purchase orders and warranties for customer fleets.
  • Manage purchase orders (POs) and warranties for customers' fleets.
  • Build and maintain preventive maintenance (PM) schedules and coordinate internal and third-party work.
  • Oversee third-party service providers for repairs, tires, inspections and mobile calls.
  • Handle incoming repair requests via email and phone.
  • Develop and monitor processes to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Guide Parts and Service operations to better serve customers.
  • Collaborate with the Fleet Maintenance Manager to grow and strengthen the team.

Job description

The Fleet Maintenance Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring the reliability and safety of our clients’ fleets. This position is responsible for organizing, scheduling, and reporting maintenance activities for fleet units, including semi-trailers and semi-trucks. By keeping maintenance on track, the coordinator helps minimize downtime and optimize the fleet performance.

YOUR ROLE
  • Prepare and send daily reports; completed repairs, units in progress, projected completion dates
  • Communicate with customers, dispatch, and vendors regarding ETAs and priorities
  • Work with the Parts department to ensure timely delivery of parts to internal and external shops
  • Manage purchase orders (POs) and warranties for our customers' fleets
  • Build and maintain preventive maintenance (PM) schedules and coordinate internal and third-party work
  • Oversee third-party service providers for repairs, tires, inspections and mobile calls
  • Handle incoming repair requests via email and phone
  • Develop and monitor processes to ensure customer satisfaction

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
  • Technical experience in the trucking industry
  • Experience working with ERP systems
  • Bilingualism (an asset)
  • Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting internal reports and KPIs
  • Ability to work with little supervision
  • Familiarity with rental and lease fleet operations, including their unique challenges
  • Ability to work in a collaborative digital environment (e.g., Microsoft 365 suite)
REQUIREMENTS
  • At least 5 years' experience in Fleet Maintenance

SCHEDULE
  • 40 hours, Full-time, Monday to Friday.
  • Occasional travel in Ontario and the Atlantic provinces
