Job summary

McDougall Energy Inc. is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Advisor to join our Fleet and Distribution team. This on-site role supports maintenance across Ontario, reporting to the Corporate Fleet Maintenance Manager, with travel to operating hubs as needed.

The ideal candidate will have heavy truck maintenance expertise, prior Truck and Coach (310T) experience, and familiarity with maintenance software and documentation systems. We offer a comprehensive rewards package and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Experience with heavy truck and trailer maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Truck and Coach (310T) Technician background is an asset.
• Fuel handling experience is an asset.
• Familiar with maintenance software and documentation systems.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to changing needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide operations locations with technical support for fleet maintenance of heavy, medium, and light vehicles.
• Advise internal staff on heavy truck maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Interacts with third party repair shops when required.
• Convey company standards for repair and documentation.
• Monitor inspections, maintenance standards, etc. at each location.
• Costing reviews and validation of billing.
• Assist with regulatory compliance and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Routine travel to operating hubs to maintain relationships and monitor vehicles.

About The Opportunity

McDougall Energy is seeking an individual to join our Fleet and Distribution team in the role of Fleet Maintenance Advisor. We are accepting applications from across Ontario, and the successful candidate will be based on-site at their nearest McDougall Energy branch.

Reporting to the Corporate Fleet Maintenance Manager, this position is responsible for:

• Provide our many Operations locations with technical support for the maintenance of their fleets of heavy, medium duty, and light duty vehicles.
• Subject matter expert for advising our internal staff on heavy truck maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Interacting on behalf of our internal staff with third party repair shops when required.
• Conveying company standards / expectations for repair and documentation.
• Monitors compliance with inspections, maintenance standards, etc. at each internal location
• Costing reviews / validation of billing.
• Assists with adherence to regulatory compliance items and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Routine travel to visit our operating hubs, and the service providers who support them, to maintain positive business relationships and to monitor condition of our vehicles.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Specific understanding of heavy truck and trailer maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Previous experience as a Truck and Coach (310T) Technician or related field would be an asset.
• Fuel handling experience would be a major asset.
• Demonstrated knowledge of maintenance software and documentation systems.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adjust to changing business needs
