Job summary

McDougall Energy Inc. is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Advisor to join our Fleet and Distribution team in Ontario. This role provides technical support for maintenance across heavy, medium, and light vehicles and acts as SME for maintenance and troubleshooting.

You will coordinate with third‑party shops, ensure repair standards and documentation, monitor inspections, and travel to operating hubs to maintain strong relationships and vehicle condition.

Qualifications

• Specific understanding of heavy truck and trailer maintenance.
• Experience as a 310T technician preferred.
• Fuel handling experience is a major asset.
• Familiarity with maintenance documentation systems.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide our Operations locations with technical support for fleet maintenance.
• Act as SME for heavy truck maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Interface with third party repair shops when required.
• Convey company standards for repair and documentation.
• Monitor inspections and maintenance standards at internal sites.
• Conduct costing reviews and validate billing.
• Support regulatory compliance and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Travel to operate hubs to maintain relationships and vehicle condition.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

McDougall Energy is seeking an individual to join our fleet maintenance management team within our Fleet and Distribution department in the position of Fleet Maintenance Advisor. This position can be in any McDougall office location within Ontario.

Reporting to the Corporate Fleet Maintenance Manager, this position is responsible for:

• Provide our many Operations locations with technical support for the maintenance of their fleets of heavy, medium duty, and light duty vehicles.
• Subject matter expert for advising our internal staff on heavy truck maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Interacting on behalf of our internal staff with third party repair shops when required.
• Conveying company standards / expectations for repair and documentation.
• Monitors compliance with inspections, maintenance standards, etc. at each internal location
• Costing reviews / validation of billing.
• Assists with adherence to regulatory compliance items and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Routine travel to visit our operating hubs, and the service providers who support them, to maintain positive business relationships and to monitor condition of our vehicles.

ABOUT YOU:

The ideal candidate will have:

• Specific understanding of heavy truck and trailer maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Previous experience as a Truck and Coach (310T) Technician or related field would be an asset.
• Fuel handling experience would be a major asset.
• Demonstrated knowledge of maintenance software and documentation systems.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adjust to changing business needs
