Job summary

CI Global Asset Management (CI GAM) in Toronto seeks a Fixed Income Analyst to support portfolio managers with research, analysis and security selection of sovereign and sub-sovereign credit across global strategies. You will contribute to alpha generation through macro insights and quantitative modeling.

Qualifications

• Solid foundation in macroeconomics and sovereign credit analysis.
• Experience researching fixed income markets and risk metrics.
• Bachelor’s degree in economics/finance; CFA progression a plus.
• Proficiency with programming/AI tools is advantageous.
• Strong written and verbal communication, detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Support portfolio managers with research and security selection.
• Perform macro and sovereign analysis across global issuers.
• Run quantitative modeling for security/country selection.
• Document research ideas and investment rationales.
• Maintain tools to evaluate portfolio risk and positioning.
• Engage with external research providers to inform views.
• Participate actively in team discussions and postings.
• Communicate research findings across CI GAM teams.
