Job summary

Trico Centre for Family Wellness in Calgary, AB, seeks energetic Fitness Monitors to welcome members, support wellness goals and deliver high-quality customer service in the Fitness Centre. This hourly role covers daytime, evening, weekend and holiday shifts.

Ideal candidates bring a background in physical education or kinesiology, hold first aid and CPR Level C, and are comfortable working a variety of shifts while maintaining a clean, safe environment and friendly, professional service.

Qualifications

• Preference for Physical Education/Kinesiology degree or equivalent; related certifications encouraged.
• Current Standard/Intermediate First Aid and CPR Level C Certification required.
• Background check required for all new hires; 6-month prior check acceptable; 18+ mandate with full background check.
• Knowledgeable in Fitness and Exercise; ability to guide and support patrons.

Responsibilities

• Ensures safety and wellness of patrons in the Fitness Centre.
• Gets to know members by name and supports their fitness goals.
• Educates patrons and enforces Fitness Centre etiquette and equipment use.
• Maintains cleanliness throughout the Fitness Centre.
• Performs basic maintenance of fitness equipment.
• Provides high-quality customer service experience.
• Communicates facility and program information to customers.
• Relays information to the Fitness Director and assists with operations.

Salary Range: $16.00 To $18.00 Hourly

FITNESS MONITORS

Trico Centre for Family Wellness is currently seeking dynamic, outgoing and energetic individuals for their Fitness Centre. This hourly position requires enthusiastic fitness specialists looking for daytime, evening, weekend and holiday hours. The role involves welcoming our members, supporting their health and wellness goals and delivering high quality customer service to meet their needs.

Qualifications:

• Preference will be given to those with those with a Physical Education, Kinesiology Degree, Diploma or Equivalent preferred, Group Exercise designations and/or Personal Training certifications (e.g. Fitness Alberta, CSEP)
• Current Standard/Intermediate First Aid and CPR Level C Certification.
• Trico Centre will initiate a comprehensive criminal background check for all new hires. A previous check will be accepted provided it is dated within the past 6 months ,Full Background Check mandatory for individuals 18 years or older
• Knowledgeable in the areas of Fitness and Exercise
• Must be able to work a variety of shifts which includes evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities:

• Assists and maintains a high level of cleanliness throughout the Fitness Centre
• Performs basic maintenance of fitness equipment
• Provides a quality customer service experience
• Communicates facility and program information to customers
• Documents and relays required information regarding running of the Fitness Centre to the Fitness Director
• Implements first aid and emergency evacuation procedures when required
