Job Description

The Opportunity:

Are you a fashion enthusiast with a keen eye for technical details? Join our dynamic team as a Fit Technician and play a key role in creating impeccably fitted garments.

As a Fit Technician, you will be the reference point for the quality of our products, ensuring that each garment combines aesthetics and functionality. You will work closely with the design and production teams to translate creative concepts into precise technical specifications and ensure a perfect fit.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

1. Initial Technical Specifications:
   • Define the initial garment dimensions (specifications), considering manufacturing, quality, and established standards requirements.
   • Develop detailed technical and construction drawings.
2. Tech Packs and PLM Management:
   • Use the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system to create comprehensive "tech packs."
   • Clearly communicate aesthetic, fit, and construction engineering requirements.
3. Fitting Sessions and Adjustments:
   • Lead fitting sessions and presentations, ensuring that measurements and sample evaluations are completed beforehand.
   • Present the historical context of the style and provide advice on adjustments and construction corrections.
   • Propose corrections to ensure a flawless fit.
   • Communicate necessary adjustments to suppliers through written comments and pattern corrections.
4. 3D Modeling:
   • For 3D styles, use dedicated software to create and revise digital styles.
5. Collaboration and Approval:
   • Collaborate closely with design and product colleagues to ensure the style meets expectations.
   • Approve samples for quality and fit.

Qualifications

Who you are:

• Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in pattern making or garment fitting.
• In-depth knowledge of pattern-making techniques and fitting solutions.
• Proficiency in garment production, pattern making, and grading.
• Experience with AutoCAD, CLO 3D or Browzwear (an asset).
• Proficiency in Flex PLM or similar PLM software.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe suite.
